Baraja uses a prism to bend the laser pointer beam, dramatically reducing the number of parts in the system. When you shoot a laser beam at the prism, you will find that the laser is refracted into a rainbow-colored spectrum. Each color has a different frequency. Baraja chooses an infrared spectrum other than visible light.
Baraja's "spectral scanning" approach means developers can use cheaper, simpler, and more powerful lidar sensors.
