Recently, in the overhaul of the propylene steam turbine of the Shanghai Petrochemical Ethylene Plant, the cover and the locating groove of the cylinder were found to be damaged after the cylinder was opened. Due to the large volume, the disassembly and separation were inconvenient. In order to ensure the repair progress, the company's olefins department contacted the manufacturer and decided to use the semiconductor laser pointer and arm robot for sealing surface repair.
This is the first time a mobile laser repair device has been used. The equipment can be repaired on-site by laser cladding technology. The traditional practice of returning the turbine to the manufacturer before the change is made, which greatly improves the maintenance efficiency. The skilled worker first grinds the damaged part of the cylinder. After the surface PT inspection is passed, the nickel-based powder is selected for laser cladding according to the material of the cylinder, the amount of damage and the process requirements.
After repair, the cover of the steam turbine is level with the original surface, completely closed and does not leak. The laser cladding material is 100% metallurgically bonded with the substrate, and the repaired parts will not fall off, peel off, and fall off during normal operation.
Recently, the staff of the State Grid Shiyan Power Supply Company applied the laser pointer (collectively known as the grid foreign matter laser removal system) to remove foreign matter entangled on the transmission line, thus ensuring the safe and stable operation of the urban power grid.
At 22:30 on the evening of July 16, the State Grid Shiyan Power Supply Company received an enthusiastic call from the public: The transmission line over the Liuyi Cultural Square was wrapped around a foreign object, which worried that it would affect the power supply of nearby residential quarters. According to the clues, the transmission and inspection room immediately organized personnel to investigate the actual situation.
After the operation and maintenance personnel combined with the actual in-depth analysis of the site, the scheme of “Using the laser to eliminate the foreign matter of the wire remotely” was finally determined, and the line defects were eliminated with the shortest time and the smallest influence.
When everything is ready, the operator uses the laser pointer to aim at the foreign matter on the transmission line, and heats the suspension by emitting a laser beam of appropriate energy to melt it with the wire. At the same time, the disappearance of the foreign matter from the device is eliminated, and no burning phenomenon occurs throughout the entire process, thereby avoiding the influence on the wires and the periphery.
This is the first time in Shiyan City that the laser pointer has been used to remove foreign objects from the line. This type of operation is safe, fast and efficient, and is limited by the working environment, which perfectly solves the problem of foreign object elimination. And compared with the past electrified landing treatment, the work efficiency is greatly improved, labor intensity and work risk are reduced.
