I believe that the term Laser pointer torches is not unfamiliar to everyone. In our daily life, we often come into contact with laser torches, such as the Laser pointer we use in the classroom, and the CD player used to read the CD data in the computer or audio combination, and so on. In industry, laser torches are also often used in cutting or micro processing. So how exactly did the laser torches come about?
How does the laser torch emit light? How is it different from other lights?
Laser is a kind of light source. It and general light source are all due to the transition of electrons in matter from high-energy states.
The electromagnetic wave emitted in the lowest energy state. However, the principle of the transition (the electron changes the orbit) between the two is quite different. Due to this difference, coupled with other conditions, the principle of laser light emission is different from that of general light sources. Generally, the light source is through "spontaneous emission", while laser light is emitted by "stimulated emission".
