Most of the current laser pointers are red, green and blue. They are small but always expensive. A compact handheld laser pointer, easy to use and convenient. It comes with clear instructions and contact details in case there are any further questions, but I don't need them. I also appreciate that it comes with a battery. The light of this 10000mW blue laser pointer is powerful and adjustable. I don't know the quality of the protection circuit. There is a slight slack in the wire and it won't open. I really like how the blue laser pointer's beam is very smooth and shows the entire point of light without any difficulty.
The red laser pointer is relatively easy to make, the wavelength is about 600 nanometers, the technology is mature, and the semiconductor process materials are mature. The green laser wavelength is about 530 nm. At present, the semiconductor laser technology in this frequency band is not very mature. Therefore, high powered laser pointers are expensive and low-power. The three-color filter filters into three colors, red, green, and blue, respectively, and the combination of the three-color filters can produce seven different colors. This color controller can only display one color per image. Another control method is to use three acousto-optic modulators to modulate three light beams of different colors respectively. This is called the RGB method.
How to choose a laser pointer?
The quality of LD (lamp), lens quality, laser crystal quality, and laser pointer power affect the quality of the laser beam. Pay attention to the following points when choosing:
- Carefully observe the light spot in the dark place. If there is obvious flooding around the laser spot, the lens is unqualified
- See if the light spot is a perfect solid dot
- Pay close attention to whether there is a flickering problem when the laser is fired. If so, there is a problem with the LD.
- If it is a laser pointer/laser projector with low power (below 20mW), it is necessary to observe whether the brightness of the laser will become darker and brighter after the laser is emitted. If so, there is something wrong with the laser pointer circuit or LD.
