Blue lasers are actually the same type of lasers that are used in Blu-ray technology. Although it is rarely prefered to the green and red ones, it could be used for what others do, which also reflects the individual unique aesthetic taste. These are a blast! I got tired of buying lasers that needed special batteries so I decided to try these out since they work with one regular AAA battery, which I always have plenty of available. They are awesome!
They aren't just a laser, but a flashlight too, which has come in handy once or twice. I keep one in my office and one on the couch. In addition to general play time, if she starts scratching on the furniture, I just break out the laser to distract her. Its a slide switch, so no need to hold down a button, and they are big enough that your hand doesn't cramp trying to hold it. The added mouse toy has been fun too, I wake up every morning to it in my bed - I guess she wants to bring me a present? Overall, a great purchase, would highly recommend.
Much better than I expected. Only one drawback - no instructions on the right way to insert the batteries. Here is how to do it. The negative part is inserted down and the positive on the cap end. On mine, the cone shaped spring that should be attached to the cap was loose, which caused the confusion. Just put the cone spring in the cap with the widest part in the cap and the narrow part sticking out to make contact with the positive part of the battery.
A stray cat had two litters of kittens in our yard this year so we have 13 cats (yes, 13) in our backyard. I got my husband an infrared temperature gun for Christmas and it has a laser guide on it.
