Blue lasers are actually the same type of lasers that are used in Blu-ray technology. Although it is rarely prefered to the green and red ones, it could be used for what others do, which also reflects the individual unique aesthetic taste. As far as presentation pointers go, it can be a nice change of pace to use a blue laser pointer, but much more powerful blue lasers are also available. However it comes down to all other uses such as pinpointing something on the large screen or on the blackboard.

I purchased the Viper 3000mW laser to use for powerpoint presentations in a large lecture hall. In the past the pointers I used were barely visible on the bright screen. The Viper 3000mW is excellent, very bright and visible even on bright backgrounds. The quality of the laser pointer is superb. Once you use this, you will not be able to return to using cheaply made lasers. I have a lot of diagrams for which I need to do \"pointing\" to with a laser, and this laser has made my presentations exponentially better. The customer service I received was great as well. Thanks!

Unbelievable laser considering the price. I have had 532 nanometer lasers put out then 5 milliwatts that cost 3 - 10 times the price and can not compare in power. The key switch is an excellent addition which makes the laser much safer and prevents it from accidentally turning on in your pocket or while in storage. The laser has a good feel and seems to be well made. The battery that it uses, A 18650 is fairly common and easy to obtain. The charger that I bought with this laser is compact and simple to use. The brightness and power this laser is unbelievable. The lens that comes with it makes for a fantastic effect. I would most certainly consider buying other lasers from this company. Needless to say I am ordinarily happy with this purchase. Definitely recommended.

Sounds like a solid metal torch. Powerful laser. Wearing glasses provided strongly recommended. Be careful. Once the Li-Ion RCR123 batteries are well charged, this laser burns well paper, hands, etc .... Read the instructions, it is advisable not to leave more than a few minutes to avoid overheating. The charger works well but seems a little "cheap". Im a little suspicious, and I use another one for security.
