Coupling Module Power At Operating Current Laser Pointer
This time it is the first domestic independent 638nm red laser pointer chip. The 8W fiber-optic coupling module was completed in cooperation with the first group and the second group. Including Changchun Institute of Optoelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jinan University, Shenzhen Ribo Optoelectronics, Huaguang Optoelectronics and other units. It is understood that this module integrates 10 domestic 638nm single-tube chips, and the power of the coupling module is about 8.6W under the working current of 1.5A (see Figure 2). The optical fiber currently used is not coated. There is about 8% loss after coating. The power can reach 9.3W@1.5A. The advent of the laser pointer module means that the 2017YFB0404900 project has achieved a major breakthrough.

Beyond that. The high-efficiency, low-defect, low-cost red laser pointer materials and chips undertaken by Task Group 1 have also made significant progress. Ripple Optoelectronics and Huaguang Optoelectronics demonstrated for the first time in China a high-performance display with a 638 nm red LD device. The output power exceeds 1.5W at room temperature and 40 degrees Celsius (refer to Figure 3). It is expected to complete the goals set by the Ministry of Science and Technology in advance. The life test time of multiple laser pointers at 1W output has exceeded 2000 hours. No device failure.
