Where do you get the best laser pointer brands?

Prior to the advent of laser diodes, which were also inexpensive, so-called light indicators existed as precursors (e.g. [1]) consisting of modified flashlights. The lamp is equipped with lenticular optics rather than concave mirrors, so simple slide projectors can be used to project arrow symbols (flat or contorted). The advantage of this arrangement is the arrow symbol, with which you can point to something more meaningful than a laser pen tip. There are also special E10 bulbs in which the filament itself is designed in the shape of an arrow. The downside is that the execution is mostly very weak and requires constant readjusting of the lens optics to fit the distance from the projected surface. The first Pointers used miniaturized helium-neon lasers. But it was only with the advent of cheaper, more efficient laser diodes that the small 1000mW red laser designator became mass-produced.
