A laser pointer with a pen shape that is easy to carry
The principle behind light generation is physically complex, but from the outside, it is very simple: the core of the green laser pointer is composed of two different semiconductor metal layers and is powered by a battery. As a result, red light gradually formed, repeatedly reflected between the two mirrors, and was greatly enlarged. At the front end, when you press the button, the required red laser will appear. Compared with the light of an incandescent lamp, it has only one wavelength, with strong beam formation and high intensity. Modern laser mice work in a similar way (not to be confused with simple optical mice). This simple principle must be extended with a green or blue laser pointer, but the red variant can also be upgraded in this way.

Many laser pointers are red and are so cheap to buy today because the diodes, including the mirror layer, are easy to evaporate and cut in mass production. Depending on the effort and requirements for light purity, there may be considerable differences in quality and price. Red light is good for the human eye, but it is far less perceptible than green light. Due to the high contrast with the light surface, the luminous red high powered laser pointer is of course very suitable for various presentations; the red laser pointer is also used for measurement purposes or various adjustments. The very low performance limit prescribed by the law is sufficient for these purposes, without any problems, and minimizing physical risks. As a comparison: an old light bulb provides about 50,000 times the power, but to a large extent it is not suitable as a luminous pointer. Imagine how many large batteries the flashlight uses and how short their duration is. The quality of the laser crystal is particularly important. Low cost is the reason for the low price, so the quality of laser crystals manufactured in large quantities is poor. Although the price of sloppy laser pointers is low, there is always danger in the beginning. People still choose sloppy laser crystals. In the same output power range, a sloppy laser pointer is not as bright as a real laser pointer.
