Is the green laser dangerous?
Depending on the power and emission wavelength of the high powered laser, it may pose a real danger to vision and cause irreparable burns to the retina. Many people find it hard to believe that something that looks like an ordinary flashlight and runs on a few AAA batteries is dangerous. However, it is important to realize that although the danger of laser pointers is small, it is not zero, especially for Type 3 pointers that may cause exposure overhead. For example, a limited exposure of 5mW blinking reflex results in up to 10% probability of retinal damage. However, even exposure to eyes below 30 degrees Celsius can temporarily blind the victim and should be avoided.

Approximately 80% of defensive shots occur in low light conditions. Using a tritium sight at night will certainly help, but in twilight or dark conditions, you can't miss the beam of the red or green laser sight. You certainly don’t need to stop trying to find your handlebars in low light, but I guarantee that the laser beam will find you effortlessly. In low light, even glowing night vision should be aligned with the target. By eliminating the need to align two different objects in two different viewing planes (front sight and target), the laser speed is aimed in the dark. Focus on the goal-that's all there is to it.
