The brightest laser artifact used at night
Laser for daytime use: Use a high-power green Rechargeable Laser Pointer for daytime use. Green because green lasers are five to seven times brighter than other colors at the same mW intensity. A minimum of 200mW is required to use 532nm green light during the day, and the higher the power, the better. Use a night laser: Here you have more freedom to choose the color and output of the beam. Lasers look much better at night than in the daytime, giving you more flexibility. The range suitable for night use is 30 mW or larger green laser beam. But even a low power of 5mW can be seen at night.

The legal power sold for demonstration is up to 1mW (up to level 2). When I shoot the laser pointer into the sky, I can hardly see anything.
