If you were at a green laser light show
Professional green laser light shows are intended to safely scan into the audience. At audience scanning shows there will be occasional “hits” to the eye, but as long as there is no afterimage, the light level should be safe.
Low output visual laser (power 0.4mW-1mW). The reaction time of closing the eyes is 0.25 seconds, the exposure can not be more than MPE within this period of time. 1MW laser will usually cause dizziness, so you must not observe the beam observation, or use class II laser irradiat someone else's eyes. This kind of green laser pointer mainly used as classroom demonstration, laser sight and range finder etc.

Proper use of the laser pointer
If you experience uncomfortable light levels or long-lasting afterimages, you should take simple actions to avoid the direct laser beams. Fortunately, even in such a case of brighter shows, injury reports from continuous-wave lasers are extremely rare.
Three shows over the past decades have stupidly and illegally scanned pulsed lasers into audiences. This caused approximately 50 total injuries in the three incidents. However, all responsible laserists know that they must never use pulsed-type lasers for audience scanning.
There also was a claim of audience injuries, initially attributed to a laser show, which turned out to be due to irresponsible laser pointer 5000mw misuse by audience members attending the laser show.
Middle output laser. It will make light damage if you look into the beam. It can be further divided into IIIA and IIIB.
Class IIIA lasers’ output at a range of 1-5mW, and beam energy density is not more than 25W / Mm. Its typical applications is nealy simialr to Class II , such as laser sight, laser scanner etc..
Class IIIB lasers’output at the range of 5-500mW. This kind of laser can be used as spectral measurement and entertainment lighting, etc..
